This is Chris! He’s been a part of the Rhythm Snowboard shop family for 6 years now. Originally from Saskatchewan, Canada, Chris couldn’t resist returning to Niseko for a taste of the Japanese POW. Chris knows all of the sweet spots here, he is a walking encyclopaedia when it comes to snowboarding and most importantly,Chris is a great human. If you’re in Niseko and see him, say hello!

What is your favourite ski run or resort?
Miharashi for my night cap of strongs and riding under the lights. Always a good time.

What weapon do you ride?
Jones Mind Expander is what I’m using at the moment

What is your ‘staff pick’ this season? 
Oyuki Sencho mitts are essential. 

What is your tip to riding deep pow? 
Keep your tips up

What is your best vending machine buy? 
Corn soup 

Describe your best day in Niseko? 
Christmas Day 2016. Santa brought the goods.

What is the first thing you do when you arrive in Japan? 
Buy some enari and a hot coffee from vending machine.

What is your fav Japanese snack food? 
Pickled spicy cucumbers
