If you’re planning on making the most of your extra day off and celebrating the Easter spirit in Niseko, there’s a bunch of fun activities that you and the family can enjoy both on and off the slopes.
From retail therapy, to flying down Asia’s biggest zipline, to being part of history and riding Japan’s oldest ski lift for the last time, there are countless options to keep the young ones entertained while you and your spouse sit back and enjoy a warm hot chocolate after a morning on the slopes.

Hanazono Tube Park
While it’s aimed at the kids, tubing is fun for participants of all ages. At Hanazono’s Tube Park you can shred downhill in an inflatable doughnut, and then jump on a magic carpet to get back up the top–giving you hours of fun without the legwork (literally).
¥3,600 per tube, 60 minute duration, ages 3 and above.
Milk Kobo
When it comes to Easter, there’s always one thing that comes to mind – chocolate. So if you’re in Niseko, make sure you visit the Takahasi Dairy Farm (Milk Kob0) for a relaxing family lunch filled with cheese tarts, cream puffs and housemade chocolate.
Galaxy of Kidz
As you may have figured from the name, there’s no better kid’s playtime activity centre than Galaxy of Kidz. Offering a ball pool zone for ages 2-5, various self-belayed climbing walls for the older kids, and a floating adventure trail for kids of all ages, Galaxy of Kidz will have the young ones occupied for the full 45 minutes duration.

Hanazono Zipflight
Get the best views of Niseko’s forest landscape up-close with Hanazono’s zip-lining course. Offering one of the biggest zip-lines in the world, and the longest in Asia, Hanazono’s ZIPFLIGHT covers a total distance of 2,591 metres and zips at up to 110 km/h, giving families an action-packed activity that the whole family can enjoy.
¥9,800 per person, ages 6+, weight 30 – 105kg.
Ace Quad Sendoff Party
Be a part of history by riding the Ace Quad Lift #2 for the last time. After 38 years of tenure, Japan’s oldest lift will spin for the final time this March before being removed and replaced by a brand new gondola. In celebration, Niseko Tokyu Grand Hirafu will be hosting live DJ’s, a massive lottery, and a taiko drum and firework display, offering a monumental sendoff for the iconic lift.
You will need a Grand Hirafu/Hanazono or All-Mountain Lift Pass to access the lift, but will still be able to enjoy the party without one.
Moiwa Banked Slalom
Over Easter weekend, Moiwa Ski Resort will be hosting their annual Banked Slalom event, which showcases a handful of local riders battling it out in speed runs on tight, curvy trails. With a collection of food truck and bar options on offer, Moiwa’s Banked Slalom event promises to be a great day out and an exciting opportunity to check out other nearby resorts.

NAC Adventure Park
Offering tree-climbing courses 5-13m above ground, in six different difficulties, NAC’s Adventure Park is an exhilarating way to spend time off the slopes–especially considering its central location right next to Grand Hirafu’s Family Run. Why not head out for a couple of laps and finish the day looking at your tracks from an elevated high-ropes course?
¥45,000 per group, max 6 people per guide.
NAC Indoor Climbing Gym
A local favourite, NAC’s indoor climbing gym offers visitors hours of entertainment, with various options of climbing and bouldering walls on offer. And if the kids are hungry, you can duck upstairs to Jojo’s for a coffee and burger.
Full day passes – Adults ¥4,000, Kids ¥3,500.
Hanazono Snow Rafting
While it may be too early to get out rafting, you can still enjoy a unique snow rafting experience through the Hanazono forest. Relax among the scenery while being pulled along by an experienced snowmobile driver – the ultimate fun ride for you and the little ones.
Price: ¥25,000 per boat.

Live Music at Skye Niseko
Wind down after a day on the slopes by sitting back with a few nibblies and hot chocolates while you watch a live acoustic performance from local Niseko musician Seiichiro Ebisuya.
Kicking off at 5:30pm on Saturday March 30th, at Skye Niseko.
Horse Riding at Niseko Country Farm
As something different, you and the family can venture out to Niseko’s most famous monument, Mt. Yotei, and indulge in private horse-riding tours around the foot of the volcano. While people over 85 kg can’t join the tour, it’s a perfect option for the young ones to enjoy Niseko in a whole new light.
Tours start at 11am and 1pm and go for 45 min. ¥10,000 per person, Ages 6+
