RAIL JAM SERIES 1 RECAP

On Sunday, December 10, Rhythm Japan hosted the first Rail Jam of the season! A slew of skiers and snowboarders raced to sign up at the Rhythm Japan Niseko shop for their chance win the competition. Niseko’s finest men and women joined us on this clear evening to show off their skills.

The riders had a diverse array of skills that wowed the audience. We saw snowboarders jump five feet in the air, skiers spin 360s, and tons of sparks flying off of the rails at all times! The competition was fierce and the audience was on the edge of their proverbial seats.

Prizes weren’t just awarded to the competitors! The spectators had the opportunity to win some awesome Oyuki gear too! The MC chose four people watching the show demonstrate their best handstands. Even those standing in lucky spots in the crowds managed to get their hands on some awesome merchandise.

It was a little chilly, but mulled wine and other classic winter beverages were being sold to keep people warm as they watched the competition. With music, prizes, drinks, and an exciting show, the first Rail Jam of the season kicked off with quite the success.

The winners were:

Guys

1st – Tim Herbert
2nd – Chris Wadsworth
3rd – Chris Smith and Blake Marshal

Girls

1st – Jordana
2nd – Lisa
3rd – Hannah Wilson
