Cycle season is well underway in Niseko and every year the calendar is jam packed with events for cyclists to participate in. It doesn’t matter if you’re a seasoned pro or just starting out, there’s something for you to take part in. Check out what’s coming up!
Niseko Classic Group Ride – 11th July
This fun, group ride is hosted by Rhythm and will take place after the Niseko Classic. Guides will be taking riders on a 55km loop around the majestic Mt Yotei. A support van and mechanic will be provided. Riders of all standards are welcome.

Grand Hirafu MTB Park Opening Day – 15th July
One of Niseko’s major ski areas, Grand Hirafu, will be opening their downhill mountain bike trail on 15th July.
Nature Ride Niseko – 17th July
This event is organised by the Kutchan Tourism Association and includes three different course options, 30km, 50km and 110km. The 50km ride circles Mt Yotei while the 110km ride goes to the Sea of Japan and back.

Hanozono Hill Climb – 7th August
For many racers, this event is the pinnacle of their competitive cycling season. The 15.5km race goes from Kutchan Town to Goshiki Onsen, which is a climb of 617 vertical meters. Only the fittest will survive!

Doride Hirafu Down Hill Race – 21st August

Hirafu Matsuri (Summer Festival) – 20th August
This local Japanese festival is a celebration of food, music, theatre, dancing and more. As part of the festival this year Rhythm will be hosting a kids’ mountain bike event to help increase their skills and love of riding!
