Fancy a spot of backcountry riding in Niseko & Hakuba - some of the snowiest terrain in the world. If you intend to access the backcountry terrain in the Niseko or Hakuba region then you are going to need the right backcountry gear. Niseko and Hakuba offer some of the best backcounty skiing in the world, from wide open bowls to perfectly spaced trees, the area has been blessed with perfect deep powder terrain. The resorts have easy to access “side country” areas so when the inbound fresh is all used up, it’s easy to find endless fresh turns accessed by touring skis and splitboards with skins or snow shoes for the hikers.

We offer a large range of backcountry gear that includes touring skis, splitboards, bindings, skins, and accessories such as avalanche transceivers, shovels and probes. We have carefully selected a range of touring skis from well known brands, such as Armada, DPS, Volkl and K2. All touring skis come with skins and either Marker Duke, Marker Baron, Marker F12, Marker F10, Tyrolia Adrenaline, or Marker Kingpins bindings. Note. Pre-book your equipment and store your board with us overnight and avoid dragging it back to your accommodation.


Please note: not all models are available in every size and we are unable to accommodate all equipment requests. Please speak with our staff about what's currently available. We always recommend using a local guide, such as Evergreen in Hakuba, or Rising Sun Guide, Niseko Photography & Guiding, Whiteroom Tours, Black Diamond Tours and Hokkaido Ski Club in Niseko, to ensure your safety and also that you get to ride the best areas.

Boots Range

We stock a wide variety of ski and snowboard boots and models to suit feet of any size or shape. If you have your own ski boots, you can use them for backcountry riding.

Our boot range includes top of the line Salomon, K2, Burton, and Dalbello boots

New boots are added to our fleet each year and no boots are more than two years old.

Our customers are welcome to come back & try different boots until they find the best fit.

Backcountry Equipment

We have a full range of touring equipment for rental only available in our Niseko store, including accessories such as AVI packs, transceivers, probes, shovels, poles, skins and snowshoes. Note.
