KIDS' SKI RENTAL IN JAPAN. HERE'S HOW TO MAKE IT QUICK AND EASY!

Heading to Japan for a snow holiday with the family? Here are some ways to make kids’ ski and snowboard rental simple, quick and fun for everyone!

Rent Rather than Buy.

Rent rather than buy

We all know kids grow quickly, which makes renting gear the most economical option for families. At Rhythm we have a comprehensive rental range including skis, poles, boots, snowboards, jackets and pants plus accessories like helmets, wrist guards and après boots for children aged 13 and under. All our outerwear is both windproof and waterproof and we stock skis or snowboards for all levels from top brands like Burton, Jones, Volkl and Atomic .

Book Your Kids’ Ski Rental Online and Use our Easy Check In System.

Book online, check-in when you arrive

Book your gear online before you start your holiday then, once you arrive, you can use our quick check in system to streamline the rental process. The system is available in our stores or you can visit one of our Rhythm Service Centres in Niseko or Hakuba. This way you can spend less time inside and more time out on the slopes!

Dress Kids in Ski Socks.

Ski socks are key

In order to guarantee a correctly fitting ski or snowboard boot, it’s important your children wear the same socks they would on the mountain. We recommend a wool or wool / polyester blend in a thin to medium thickness. Once your children are in the store, discourage them from running around in their socks as they may get wet, which will make it hard to get their feet into boots. You will also want to make sure they’re wearing stretchy pants that can be pulled up close to their knees.

Keep Them Safe, Rent a Helmet.

Rent a helmet for safety

Helmets are compulsory for kids in Niseko and Hakuba’s ski schools, plus we recommend they wear them at all times on the slopes for safety purposes. It’s also important to try helmets on without a beanie underneath to ensure a better fit. If you think your child needs extra warmth, you may wish to buy a helmet compatible balaclava.

Trust Our Expert Rental Technicians!

Trust your rental technician

When it comes to the size of your child’s boots and the lengths of their skis or snowboard, our staff have been specially trained to identify what will be the most suitable. We recommend listening to their advice and asking whatever questions you may have.

Ask Our Staff About Ski Poles.

Rhythm stocks the best new skis and boots for rent

Depending on your child’s age and skiing ability, they may or may not require ski poles. Our staff can help you make this decision. Most ski schools start teaching children without poles, and will inform you when your child is ready to use them.

KICK OFF YOUR KIDS’ KIT WITH A RHYTHM STARTER PACK.
