Niseko is the name given to a mountainous region of south-western Hokkaido, which is Japan’s northern most island. Its closest airport is Chitose, which is 2.5 hours away and the nearest major city is Sapporo, which is a two-hour drive. Niseko receives on average 14 meters of snow, most of which falls as light, dry powder. It has won the “Best Resort in Asia” award at the World Ski Awards four years in a row, but many people would argue that it is home to the best conditions for skiing and snowboarding in the world. Rhythm has been in operation in Niseko for 13 years. The store aims to provide customers with the best possible retail and rental equipment that has been specifically chosen for Niseko’s unique conditions. The store also offers summer operations including tours and rental for mountain biking, SUPing and hiking. Rhythm also has a store located in Hakuba, which is around 300km west of Tokyo.
