ANNND WE’RE OUT! A WRAP UP ON THE 2015/16 SEASON

Epic Snowfalls

This season resorts in Niseko recorded 10 meters of snowfall, most of which fell in January with 600cm worth of fluffy flakes hitting the ground. While this may seem a little underwhelming for a resort that on average receives around 15 meters of snowfall, it’s almost the same amount of snow that falls during a normal season at Whistler, BC (11 meters).  January, or Japanuary as we like to call it, definitely lived up to the hype bringing with it a multitude of powder-perfect days and regular comments from our lovely customers that they’d had the best day of their lives and could they please swap for a fatter pair of skis.

Hakuba received a total of 321cm, which is well below their average of 11 meters. Still, 2015/2016 definitely wasn’t a fail with plenty of our guests clocking up loads of perfect powder turns, especially those who hit the higher altitude back country that Hakuba is famous for.

Team Rhythm would like to thank all those who shopped with us this year, especially anyone who sent their positive vibes global by commenting on our Rhythm Niseko TripAdvisor and Rhythm Hakuba TripAdvisor pages. We look forward to kicking off winter 2016/17 in November and assisting in making your deep, powdery Japanese dreams come true!

Cycle into Green Season

Webcams don’t lie and anyone with access to the interweb can probably tell there’s not much snow left in Niseko right now. It doesn’t matter though because when the skis and snowboards go into hiding, bikes and SUPs come out to play! More and more people are realising that the Niseko region is not just a winter wonderland, it’s also a summer paradise, with perfect terrain for both road riding and mountain biking. Over the coming days Rhythm Niseko will be merging into summer mode, offering cycle tours, SUP tours and a new range summer retail goodness. We will be updating our website with more information on what to do when the snow melts very soon!
